Mosaic art is considered to be therapeutic, healing and empowering. It can be used for emotional and physical wellbeing as well as a means of self-expression and discovery.
Since my personal discovery of mosaic in 2002, I have found that it is extremely calming and allows me to wonder off into my own creative world. There is something satisfying about cutting each piece of tesserae, sticking it down and watching it transform into something beautiful.
Most students who attend my workshops have no artistic background and some arrive a little apprehensive and unsure. However, my style of teaching allows you to create in a safe space with no judgment or expectation. My calm personality and nurturing style allows you to produce a beautiful piece of art with easy to use templates and gives you a great sense of achievement and confidence.
Light refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch in the unlikely event you want to stop an eat!
Take a look at some of the workshop options below:
Adult One-day or Weekend Workshops
These workshops are designed for beginners or those who have tried mosaic before but just need a little refresher. You can choose whether to do one day or the weekend however please note that one-day workshops may not give you enough time to complete your mosaic (this does not include grouting). Classes are small and intimate and are usually run from my home or a hall depending on class numbers.
Corporate Team Events
Spend a day away from the office mastering a new skill, discovering a hidden talent and immersing yourself in creativity. This group activity encourages conversation and definitely a few laughs. I work with well-known brands including John Lewis and the Womens Institute and also love working with family businesses and small businesses.
Ladies Creative Days
Mums, daughters, sisters, grand-mothers! Get together for a birthday, hen day or another other celebration and create something memorable. These classes are also perfect if you just want a fun girly day together. You will be guaranteed lots of fun and I’ll even throw in the odd glass of wine too! Suitable for age 13 years and up.
